With the demand for "natural" beauty products on the rise – such as lotions, balms and shampoos.
The manufactures are responding with a host of new beauty products, all labeled "natural".
The only problem is that some are natural and some are not.
So, how's a shopper to know if they're buying a "natural" product or not?
Until now, we had no way of knowing whether or not a product was truly "natural" (since there was no standard definition of the term used by the industry.)
Well, that's no longer the case.
To end this confusion and help consumers, the Natural Products Association just unveiled a new certification program that defines natural and includes an easily-identified seal. (See image)
You can expect the seal to begin appearing on certified natural beauty care products such as Burt’s Bees, Weleda, Aubrey Organics, Badger Balm, Farmaesthetics, and Trilogy Fragrances this summer.
These companies have volunteered (this is not a requirement by any federal agency), to join in with the Natural Products Association (the largest non-profit company in this arena) - because they got fed up with seeing other companies call their lines “natural” when they were anything but.
Actually, much of what we see on the shelves that says "natural", contains NOTHING natural…
The seal will help take the guesswork out of smart buying and educate consumers on what products are truly natural.
Products must follow strict guidelines set out by the Natural Products Association to merit bearing the natural seal.
The criteria includes, but are not limited to:
– 95% truly natural ingredients
– No ingredients with any potential suspected human health risks
– No processes that significantly or adversely alter the purity/effect of the natural ingredients
– Ingredients that come from a purposeful, renewable/plentiful source found in nature (flora, fauna, mineral)
– Processes that are minimal and don't use synthetic/harsh chemicals or otherwise dilute purity
– Unnatural ingredients only when viable natural alternative ingredients are unavailable and only when there are absolutely no suspected potential human health risks
So, don't be fooled when buying "natural" products, start checking for the natural seal this summer.

Avon Pro-To-Go Lipstick
Avon's Pro-To-Go Lipstick is genius!
And I like that is has an SPF 15 in it to help protect your lips from the sun (so, you can use it at the pool or the beach).
I also found Avon's Pro-To-Go Lipstick to be moisturizing, leaving just a sheer wash of color on the lips, for a more natural look.
Perfect lipstick for all day wear.

Blushing Cherry Blossom From Bath & Body Works
The easiest way for me to post on fragrances is to wear them while I'm writing.
Blushing Cherry Blossom is the third and most blissful fragrance of Bath & Body Works' Cherry Blossom collection.
Which also includes Cherry Blossom and Japanese Cherry Blossom.
Or just buy it for yourself to celebrate spring!
